Yes , I have use channel numbering like UBIQUITI and patch ATH5K additional and iwinfo library. I will be prepare patchs with my version in similar form like you. and I will be send to you to review

Other way. I have try use very nice solution to mobile HamNET usb device WN722N http://www.tp-link.de/products/details/ ... =TL-WN722N

it is chip and have nice power about 1Watt. I have use with my laptop and Linux with modified kernel and wirelesses drivers and work very good but I can not solve for me important channel width. Because below 2.4 Ghz we can use only 5 MHz (or 10 Mhz on 2.397 Ghz)this device work for me only with 20 Mhz and up

What is problem that USB wifi devices use ath9k_htc driver. That you know that channel bw below 20 Mhz is set by debug mode.

I have try find how to add support channel bw 5/10 Mhz to ath9k_htc but I did not find. Maybe your group try to find solution this solution and ask on mailing list of developers ath9k_htc how to add 5/10 Mhz support to this driver

https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/use ... /ath9k_htc

WN722 is nice solution for mobile network and use with Raspberri PI
